FAQ

Answers to what guests ask most. For anything else, call the studio.

Booking

Do you take walk-ins?

When a chair is free, yes. Weekday mornings are your best chance. Booking ahead guarantees your artist and your time.

How far ahead should I book?

A week is usually plenty. For Saturdays, hand-painted sets and anything bridal, book two to three weeks ahead.

What if I’m running late?

Call us. Up to ten minutes late we can usually keep your full service. After that we may shorten it, so the next guest isn’t kept waiting.

Do you take deposits?

Only for private studio hire and bridal parties of four or more: 25 percent, taken off the final bill.

Services

How does the Atelier Club work?

It’s a monthly membership for regulars: one price covers a gel manicure and a classic pedicure every month, with 10% off nail art and add-ons and first pick of Saturday times. Pause or cancel any month.

How long does gel last?

Two to three weeks for most people. Structured gel and dip often go longer. If a nail lifts or chips within five days, we fix it free.

Can you remove a set from another salon?

Yes. Removal is $15, or free when you book a new set with us. We soak and lift gently instead of drilling down to the natural nail.

Do you have HEMA-free gel?

Yes. Tell us about any sensitivity when you book and we’ll set up your station with HEMA-free products.

Can I bring my own polish?

For a classic manicure or pedicure, of course. For gel and dip we use our own systems, so we can stand behind the wear.

Are pedicures safe during pregnancy?

Yes. We skip deep pressure points in the massage and keep the water warm rather than hot. Let us know when you book.

The studio

Is there parking?

Free parking right outside, with step-free access at the north entrance.

Can children book?

Guests eight and up can book a classic manicure or pedicure with a parent in the studio.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, for any amount or for a specific service, and they never expire.

Is there anyone you won’t work with?

A few. We wrote them down.

Is Oro & Ivory a real salon?

No. It’s a concept design by NDD, made to show what a nail studio’s website can be. The studio, team, reviews and address are all fictional.

Could the booking connect to a real salon’s calendar?

Yes. On a real salon’s site, these booking steps connect to the system the salon already uses, such as Square Appointments, Vagaro or Fresha, so appointments land straight in its calendar and confirmations go out as usual.

Still wondering?

Call the studio and we’ll talk it through.
